Pax Exam

As of today, the new release is available on Maven Central.

This release contains important bugfixes, new features, more supported frameworks.

As of today, version 1.1.0 of Pax Exam has been released and is generally available on maven1.apache.org.
Feature Release of the 1.x branch.
Main features are:

• Execution Customizer
• Support of Apache Felix 1.8.1
• Support of Eclipse Equinox 3.5 (Galileo)

Specially for Windows user having trouble with repitive executions, PAXEXM-112 fixes a regression in shutdown behaviour and also provides some additional checking for sanity of the environment.

So what was I to do with Pax Exam? This framework allows you to write JUnit or TestNG tests and then executes them in the OSGi container of your choosing. It's a cool framework but much of the documentation assumes a willingness to scroll through lines and lines of Maven XML. Ugh. Life's too short to grapple with build systems.

So the nut is cracked. I've got Groovy unit tests running across Equinox, Felix, and Knopflerfish from both Gradle and IntelliJ IDEA. No Maven in sight.
